Sustainable Furniture Brands We Adore

When putting together conscious home decor, it’s worth noting which companies go the extra mile to certify that their sustainable furnishings are both good for your home and the planet.

Things Worth While editors endorse products we’ve personally researched, tested, and genuinely love. Learn about our methodology and business model here.

The Citizenry

More than just gorgeous rugs and bedding, The Citizenry works with makers all over the world to ethically craft furniture. Our staff pick is the best-selling San Rafael Safari Chair. Handcrafted by an award-winning workshop in Mexico City, each chair takes 7 days to complete. All made start-to-finish in a fair-trade environment. These are made in small batches though, so get on that waitlist stat!

What we love is that it’s a family-run operation that marries craftsmanship with excellence — these beauties are built to be loved for generations.
